Movie News, Movie Reviews, and Features With Your Time in Mind
Netflix Originals take center stage in April 2019 as the streaming giant has fewer movies and television shows from other content makers.
April 2019 is a big month on Netflix, and not solely because the streaming platform has made sure to offer Pineapple Express in time for April 20, otherwise known as 420 Day. In April 2019, there are over 40 Netflix Originals releasing, a clear signal that in order to compete with the impending release of Disney Plus and Apple TV Plus, plus a host of other upcoming streaming platforms, original content will be king. Thankfully, though, Netflix still has a library of movies and TV shows to stream from yesteryear and further.
The new movies and TV shows on Netflix in April 2019 include greats like All the President’s Men and Deliverance, plus Snatch and The Fifth Element. There’s also Tom Cruise with a terrible accent in Valkyrie, as well as Band Aid from Zoe-Lister Zones who is writing and directing the upcoming The Craft remake. And if you want to see the extended version of The Hateful Eight, it is on Netflix in April 2019.
As for original programming, movies and series on Netflix in April 2019 can keep you very busy regardless of your genre preference. A few top choices are “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2,” Unicorn Store starring Brie Larson (aka Captain Marvel) and Samuel L. Jackson (aka Mr. Glass), a new season of “Trolls,” and zombie-laden “Black Summer” from the Z Nation universe.
That’s not it for what is new on Netflix in April 2019 – you can find the rest below. And if you’re searching for “Game of Thrones” (the new season premiere in April), it’s not on Netflix – Hulu has it, though (live!).
