Update: The official one-sheet has been released for the film. Take a look!
Jennifer Lawrence may be the star of the third largest opening-weekend film of all time, The Hunger Games, but she is not stopping there for her slate of 2012 films to be released. After her roles in Winter’s Bone, X-Men: First Class, Like Crazy and The Hunger Games it only seems likely for her to tackle the horror genre, and she does just that in House At The End Of The Street, releasing in theatres September 21, 2012. The film also stars Elizabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas, Adventures in Babysitting), Max Thieriot (My Soul To Take), and Gil Bellows (“Ally McBeal”).

House At The End Of The Street‘s synopsis: Seeking a fresh start, newly divorced Sarah (Shue) and her daughter Elissa (Lawrence) find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. Years earlier, in the house next door, a daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot), as the sole survivor. Against Sarah’s wishes, Elissa begins a relationship with the reclusive Ryan – and the closer they get, the deeper they’re all pulled into a mystery more dangerous than they ever imagined.
Sounds like a fun treat for horror fans! The first trailer for the film has been released, as well as a first-look image. Enjoy, and we’ll see what comes next House At The End Of The Street.
