Online movie ticket websites should have contacted their hosting provider before announcing Avengers: Endgame tickets were on sale - it is really a noob mistake.
Avengers: Endgame advance tickets went on sale April 1, and it caused all sorts of problems for ticketing websites. We all knew advance tickets for Avengers: Endgame would be popular; you don’t want to be left without a seat and have the possibility for spoilers to ruin everything, especially considering the fan theories floating around.
But why did everyone think they had to buy tickets for Avengers: Endgame the exact day they went on sale? It’s like a concert – the best seats go first, and no one wants to be in the partially obstructed view seat over the stairwell.
It also makes sense that so many people rushed to buy Avengers: Endgame tickets on April 1 because the final teaser trailer for the film hit that day. It has a great more detail than we have seen before and can quickly peak your excitement. Thanos finally makes an appearance!
The internet did not go down when oodles of people tried to get their hands on advance tickets for Avengers: Endgame, but ticketing sites like AMC had issues handling the influx of traffic.
On Twitter, #AvengersEndgametickets was a number one trend as the debacle to get tickets intensified.
AMC Theaters website did at one point go down completely; for how long is unclear.
Even with the issues, Avengers: Endgame advance tickets were sold, and now the countdown begins for fans who have their perfect seat chosen.
If you don’t have tickets for Avengers: Endgame yet – you better get on that now. Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas have seats available and a hard-to-beat environment to experience the most anticipated movie of 2019 that is around three hours long! You need a very comfortable seat for that, and seat-side service helps, too.
